Life of Riley Fund

Thanks to a generous donor, San Francisco’s seniors are discovering the joy of pet adoption.

Inspired by the great companionship of one adorable dog named Riley, last year 48 cats and 85 dogs went home at no cost to senior citizens through the SF SPCA’s Life of Riley fund sponsored by a generous donor. In San Francisco, 14% of residents are 65 years or older and 30% of those people live alone. The generous donor of this fund wanted to enhance seniors’ lives by helping fund adoptions of shelter animals.

Nearly every week we receive tribute donations inspired by the impact of an animal or a human on someone’s life.  You can make a gift of your own at sfspca.org/get-involved/donate/, just click the tribute button.
