Dr. Nathan Cote grew up in New England, where his father trained veterinary technicians at a community college. He would accompany his father to work, and it was there that he fell in love with veterinary medicine.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, Dr. Cote worked in research labs in Maine and Boston before attending UC Davis Veterinary School. Afterward, Dr. Cote completed an internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. He then moved back to the Bay Area, where he spent more than 10 years at Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Altos before joining the SF SPCA team.
Professionally, some of Dr. Cote’s interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Outside of work, he spends his time weight lifting, hiking, bird watching, traveling, baking, and working on his mixologist skills.
