Sweet girl Trixie has shown us lots of love while in the shelter, although she is nervous in this strange environment. Our visits with her are in quiet areas as we slowly give her the time she needs to get used to things around here. Trixie will do best with patient adopters who can help her continue to build confidence in new situations and feel safe.
Precious Wink came to us from Tulare County just a couple of days ago. She is estimated to be a 2 year old Chihuahua mix and weighs a whopping 6 pounds. Wink is still adjusting to her new environment and can be nervous when you first introduce yourself to her, and when going out into the big city for her walks. She is learning by the minute that she’s safe and cared for, and if you offer up your lap, it won’t take longer than two seconds for her to hop in it! Toledo is a loving young boy who is trying to navigate shelter living. We are going nice and slowly with him while he gets used to his new environment with lots of calm encouragement and happy talk. Toledo’s wagging tail and gentle hand kisses show us he’s making great progress and is a sweetheart of a dog.
