Pixel is super sweet and affectionate. She needs the help of an adopter to get her comfortable with new places and things, but at her pace. With a calm and loving home she will be able to enjoy the world. She has already opened up and showed her lovely, sweet, and social side to the staff here and everyone is such a fan of her. On top of that she has been progressing so well with basic cues like sit and touch. She will make any adopter feel so lucky to have her!
Paige is a sincere and sociable gal. She has a hearing impairment, but that does not stop her one bit. She loves to be part of the gang and calmly hang out with you. Sage is also learning sign language to help us better communicate with her. Come say hi and help her learn more sign language!
Marshall is a funny, squishy faced fella. This goof loves to go outside and show us his coolest toys. He absolutely loves to play fetch and just be outside in the yard like a cool guy. Toys are his definite favorite, as confirmed by his foster family, and he will even play soccer with you. He will do best in a quieter, low traffic area where he can focus on hanging out with you and with a family who will let him relax in his own respected space. The volunteers really enjoy taking him out each day and letting him be himself outside!
**Special offer for a special dog! Marshall has been at the shelter for several months and it’s time to find their forever home. Do you think Marshall might be your one and only, but need to make sure it’s a good fit first? You can foster Marshall to find out! If you’d like to do a week-long foster trial period with Marshall, with the end goal of adopting them, please come check them out!
Lacy is an outgoing and enthusiastic girl who is looking for a life of sniffing adventures! Our volunteers note that she can’t wait to get outside for her walks and has zoomies in our enclosed park areas. We’re working on her pulling on leash so a sensation harness that clips in the front is very helpful for this inquisitive gal. In between her playtime and sniffing investigations, Lacy always comes back to our volunteers for some sweet love and affection.
I’m a curious pup who is ready to explore what the world has to offer. I might chew or eat weird things as I learn what to do instead, so I’ll be counting on you to teach me through patience and puppy love. I’m looking for adopters who will commit to continuing my puppy education and socialization. I can’t wait to meet you!

To expedite the adoption process, please complete the cat or dog adoption form and bring a printed copy with you to the SF SPCA Adoption Center (Hours & Location). This helps us better understand what sort of pet you’re looking for so we can guide you every step of the way! Please bring a valid photo ID and verification that you are allowed to have a pet where you currently live.
First, we’ll meet with you to find out more about you and your pet preferences and answer your questions. Our goal is to help you find the pet that best fits your lifestyle and living situation so we want to make sure you have a realistic understanding of the time and resources necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for your new pet. This can take time so please allow at least one hour for the adoption process.
Once we have a good understanding of your living situation and the type of pet you’re interested in, we’ll make introductions and let you spend some quality time getting to know each other to see if there’s a love connection. It’s important that all household members take part in this important decision so please make sure everyone is present (including any resident dogs if you’re considering adding a new pooch to your pack).
Once love happens, we’ll complete the paperwork, review all the SF SPCA adoption benefits, provide information on any known medical or behavioral issues, and share tips to make the transition a success for both you and your new pet.
We consider you and your new furry friend a part of the SF SPCA family so please reach out with questions ― and be sure to share your adoption stories and pet photos at sfspca.org/stories
Don’t forget to schedule your first free health exam at the SF SPCA Veterinary Hospital within three days of adopting.
