Denali is very underconfident, though she is really drawn to people and other dogs too. She would make a great second dog in a family that can be patient and supportive as she learns to face the big scary world.

Moe here is an eager boy with a good zest for life. Strong and bouncy, Moe cannot wait to go on walks with staff and loves to play fetch with everyone. Sometimes he will fetch two balls at once! He is improving a ton with good sits and settle cues, which will be great for when he’s in his forever home. Some new places and things make him a little nervous, but encouragement and treats always help him out. He brings a joy and jolly everywhere he goes and will liven up any home.

Arnie is truly adorable and admirable. He is a super cute young doggie with great treat motivation, making training that much better. He is still learning so much about the world, and would prefer to hang out in quieter areas to help him focus more on hanging out with you. He is excelling with his training with ‘look at me’, ‘touch’, and other focus tools that will be great in the real world. Arnie does best with calm interaction and meetings, so he can get to know new people or things at his pace. When he is comfortable with you, he will show some of the best zoomies and play time we’ve seen!

Thomas is the little engine that could. This cute and timid boy is progressing each day with his confidence. He still needs gentle encouragements on walks and when meeting new people with his current hesitations. He responds very well to soft happy talk and calm interactions. He will do best in a quiet home and with caring and patient adopters. Come meet this sweet pea!

Bee Sage here is a sensitive and precious recent mama doggie. She has just finished raising little ones and is ready for a new chapter. She is a bit shy, especially with new things but she opens up when she gets comfortable with those she knows. Bee Sage really opened up during small dog playgroups and is showing her really goofy and playful side, and its so cute to see!

Bee Sage is currently in a foster home and will return 3/25.

Follow your nose on down to the SF SPCA and get a taste of this lovely Chai. This little miss is eager to find her forever home where she will gladly give lots of snuggles and kisses to the very right person or persons. Chai enjoys going on walks and being out and about. Chai is not a fan of feline family members, so she can’t live with cats. She is ready for her furr-ever home, so why not come meet Chai and see if she is your cup of tea.

Christine is as sweet as they come! At the moment, she is unsure of the shelter environment and is recovering from hip surgery, so we are taking things nice and slowly together in quiet areas around here. Volunteers let Christine take all the time she needs when they go to our indoor dog areas where she loves staying close to her person. Christine is looking for an adopter who can help her feel safe and continue her physical therapy in the home while she heals. We’ll share everything you need to know! Come meet darling Christine.

Lick warning! Ludwig is a kisser!! Silly and affectionate he has a hearing deficit so will need to be kept on leash when not in a securely fenced area, or inside. Ludwig is friendly to dogs and people alike.

Parker is an estimated 1 year old Retriever/Pit Bull mix who arrived to us from San Francisco Animal Care & Control. She is a perky and personable pup who loves to go to our play yard and play with toys to her heart’s content. She is progressing so well with her training to help with her lively personality. Parker is a smart pup as well and already knows cues such as auto-sits and touches. She will surely bring joy to any home she goes to!

Here’s what a good samaritan, who found Parker and brought her into the shelter, had to say about her:
“I could go on and on about how Parker turned my world upside down for a day, but just go to the SPCA and meet her. She’ll change your life. She is such a magical, goofy character who wants to be out in the world and explore and learn and rest her head on your stomach as you fall asleep.”
