SF SPCA Helps Animals during Kincade Fire

Last month, when the Kincade Fire happened in Sonoma County, the SF SPCA, its Bay Area shelter partners and our generous community all jumped in to help affected animals.

Our adoption center welcomed 52 homeless, adoptable cats and dogs transported from shelters in and near the evacuation zone. We gathered and delivered supplies for first responders and medical supplies for animals in need. Our Community Resource Board provided updates on how people could help both here and in the fire areas.

Fire season isn’t over yet but the SF SPCA and our partners are ready for whatever needs arise in the next disaster. Learn more about how to make an emergency plan for your pets.
