Volunteer

They need you.  We need you.  Volunteer for the animals.

The SFSPCA offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, and all make a true difference to the animals in our care.

We rely on volunteers to care for shelter dogs and cats, conduct adoption counseling, assist clients and veterinary staff at The Leanne B. Roberts Animal Care Center, provide foster care, help with our Feral Cat Program, and enrich the lives of people in our community through animal-assisted therapy.  Volunteers must be 18 years old or older and able to make a volunteer commitment of three hours per week for six months.

To get started, print out a volunteer application and mail it to the address listed on the application. Your application will be reviewed and volunteer applicants will be invited to a volunteer informational session to learn about the SFSPCA mission, history and goals as well as current volunteer service needs. An optional tour of the SFSPCA is offered after each meeting.
