Dr. Jena Valdez fell in love with the Bay Area as an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley. She is a graduate of Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and is an active volunteer with RAVS, or Rural Area Veterinary Services, a non-profit group which provides veterinary care to underserved areas. Her professional interests include feline medicine, pain management and acupuncture. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. In 2017, Jena became the Society’s Director of Community Medicine, overseeing the High Quality/High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic and Community Cares programs.
Dr. Valdez shares her home with her husband, Ethan, canine companion Oscar, and two cats, Simon and Mietze.
