Meet Scottie

Meet Scottie and Lottie, a bonded brother and sister whose love for each other is impossible to miss. These adorable siblings recently made the journey from Tulare in search of a brighter future, and they have been facing every new adventure the same way they always have, together. Lottie may be the little sister, but she has happily taken on the role of Scottie’s biggest fan, closest companion and occasional bodyguard. Wherever he goes, she is never far behind, making sure her brother always has a friendly face nearby.

Scottie has a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia, often called CH. CH is a neurological condition that affects coordination, not intelligence or quality of life. In Scottie’s case, it simply means he can be a little wobbly at times, especially when he gets excited. He still plays, explores, climbs, snuggles and enjoys life just like any other kitten. He does not know he is any different, because to him, this is simply how he has always moved. Watching him confidently tackle the world is a wonderful reminder that joy is not measured by perfect balance.

Lottie seems to understand that her brother is one of a kind, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She is always ready to encourage him, curl up beside him after a busy day or join him in their next kitten adventure. Together they are proof that courage comes in many forms and that love often shows itself in the quiet moments of looking out for someone you care about.

If you have room in your heart for two incredible kittens, Scottie and Lottie are ready to show you that life’s greatest adventures are not about being perfect, they are about having someone wonderful by your side.
