Meet Sprinkle, a black cat with a name that sounds like he should be topping a cupcake, not making a big life transition from Kings County to San Francisco, and yet somehow it fits him perfectly. There is something especially funny about giving such a cheerful, bakery-coded name to a handsome boy with this much feline gravitas. He is not a sprinkle in the literal sense, obviously. He is the entire dessert case.

Sprinkle may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but his foster home has given him the time and security he needed to truly blossom. As he has settled in, more of his sweet personality has emerged, proving that behind that thoughtful expression and unmistakable leading-man face is a wonderful cat who simply needed a chance to feel safe. His foster family is getting to see the softer, more confident side of Sprinkle, and he continues to make progress as he settles into his Bay Area era.

Sprinkle is also FIV+, which sounds much more intimidating than it usually is. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy and healthy lives, and Sprinkle is every bit as deserving of a loving home as any other cat.
