The SF SPCA is partnering with six shelters and rescues for FREE adoptions, carnival games, and more during the weekend of May 21  22

May 3, 2016 – The San Francisco SPCA is teaming up with six shelters and rescues for the best adoptathon weekend yet!

The festivities at the SF SPCA kick off on Friday evening, May 20, with an epic “Adoptathon… and Beyond!” futuristic-themed cocktail party at the SF SPCA Mission Campus, 201 Alabama Street. Enjoy live music from Taxes and Double Duchess, grab a bite at one of the many vegetarian food trucks, sign up for some kitten cuddle time, and check out the Rattie Uprising artwork exhibit. Adopt for FREE from the SF SPCA Mission campus on Friday! The cocktail party is 6pm – 9pm. Admission is free, but RSVP is required: sfspcaparty.eventbrite.com

“These adoption events have helped thousands of animals find new homes,” said Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, SF SPCA co-president. “We’re excited to be partnering with so many shelters and rescues, and you’ll be able to adopt for FREE from all participating organizations May 21 – 22. Come enjoy the festivities and let us help you find your new best friend!”

After the cocktail party, come back Saturday for the first day of the Mane of Thrones Adoptathon weekend. Which house are you? House Cat, House Dog, House Rabbit, House Rat, or House Bird? Pledge your allegiance and help your house claim the Iron Throne! Rack up points on Saturday by playing carnival games, visiting the Kiss the Hound kissing booth, or adopting. The winner will take home a signed Warrior’s Jersey!

The fun continues on Sunday with a special scavenger hunt at the SF SPCA’s Mission Campus Adoption Center.

Participating organizations include San Francisco Animal Care and Control, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Family Dog Rescue, Animal Care and Adoption Network, Wonder Dog Rescue, and Palomacy.

All weekend activities will take place on Rescue Row, at 201 Alabama Street. Adoptathon hours are 10am – 5pm, Saturday and Sunday.
