Like many other nonprofits, the San Francisco SPCA’s services and revenue have been dramatically impacted by COVID-19, and our incredible donors are stepping up to help.
On May 5, a group of generous donors offered to match gifts to our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Campaign and our community rallied to the challenge.
Giving Tuesday Now was created as a global day of giving on May 5. We all know Giving Tuesday as a national day of giving on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday. But this year, as an emergency response to COVID-19, foundations and nonprofits created this new national giving day. COVID-19 has created an unprecedented situation for all of us, including the SF SPCA. We’re continuing to provide lifesaving care to homeless animals and those suffering from critical medical conditions, but with only a fraction of the support.
