Advocating at the State Capitol

In connection with World Spay Day, on February 25, the SF SPCA attended a press conference at the California State Capitol in support of #CaliforniaForAllDogsAndCats. Governor Newsom proposed this groundbreaking plan in his budget, which would allocate $50 million to help California’s homeless animals over the next five years. It would help under-resourced communities get the expertise, support, and assistance they need to end needless euthanasia and improve welfare.

The SF SPCA was joined on the Sacramento steps by adoptable pets from local shelters and state legislators.

You can help! Please contact your legislators and let them know you support Governor Newsom’s #CaliforniaForAllCatsAndDogs.
