Meet Edna & Patsy, a fabulous pair of bonded sisters who are ready to bring a little glamour, comedy and sisterly chaos into your life. And yes, their names are a nod to Absolutely Fabulous. If you immediately got the reference, congratulations, you are officially a person of a certain age. If you did not, just smile politely and know that Edna and Patsy have been named after two absolute icons.

At the moment, however, these two are taking a decidedly less “fabulous entrance” approach to shelter life. They are both pretty shy and still figuring out exactly what they think of all these new people, new sounds and unsolicited attention. Their current philosophy seems to be, “Darling, we’ll come out when we’re ready.” And frankly, who among us cannot relate?

The good news is that Edna and Patsy have each other. Like any great duo, these bonded sisters are best friends, partners in crime and each other’s built-in emotional support system. When the world feels a little overwhelming, they can look over and see a familiar face saying, essentially, “Sweetie, I have no idea what is happening either, but we’re in this together.”

They will likely need a patient home that gives them time to settle in, decompress and reveal their personalities at their own pace. No demanding curtain calls, no forced meet-and-greets and absolutely no expectation that they perform for company on day one. Give them some space, a little kindness and plenty of time, and we suspect these shy girls will eventually remember that they are, in fact, absolutely fabulous.
