Little Carmen is coming out of her shell!

A 5-year-old Chihuahua mix, Carmen came to our shelter from Kings County and the city is a lot for this little one, but day by day, she’s making her way up the confidence ladder. She is very affiliative with humans thankfully and will go wherever you go! To our surprise, she handles stairs like a champ and enjoys walks to explore her new digs. Sometimes the street commotion is a little scary, so we help build her confidence by sticking to the quieter areas, and not forcing her anywhere she doesn’t want to go.
