Dougie came to our shelter fearful of humans, and mostly everything for that matter. He has progressed so much and we are so proud of the long way he’s come. He went to play with other shelter residents of his similar size, which really helped him build confidence, but humans can still be iffy. Dougie needs someone who is willing to build a foundation of trust with him, and respect his learning pace. Dougie is currently in a foster home, to further his socialization, instead of remaining in the shelter where it’s scary, unpredictable, and not at all like what a life at home is like.
