Gina Henriksen, DVM

Staff Veterinarian, Mission Campus

Dr. Gina Henriksen is a Bay Area native who received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She worked at Genentech for 7 years before deciding to follow her true passion and become a veterinarian. She is a 2006 graduate of the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

While in Colorado she worked with retired racing greyhounds, rehabilitating them to be family pets. She has a strong interest in dog training and behavior and enjoys participating in many dog sports such as Flyball, Agility and Frisbee. She is enjoying working at the SF SPCA both in the Veterinary Hospital and in the Animal Shelter, helping our furry friends find permanent homes.

She currently lives in San Francisco and when not at the SF SPCA, she can be found sailing, swing dancing or playing with her Australian Shepherd dogs Hap and Fyn.
