Meet Lucky

Meet Lucky, a handsome tabby kitten with an adventurous spirit, an outgoing personality and a name that feels just right. This friendly little guy is affectionate, social and always ready to make a new friend. Whether he is exploring, playing or settling in for some well-earned attention, Lucky approaches every day with confidence and enthusiasm.

Lucky has tested persistently positive for Feline Leukemia Virus, commonly called FeLV, which means he has a progressive infection. FeLV affects a cat’s immune system and will shorten his lifespan, but it does not define Lucky or prevent him from enjoying a happy, loving life. Many FeLV-positive cats enjoy wonderful years filled with playtime, cozy naps and the companionship of people who adore them.

Because FeLV can be transmitted to other cats through close contact, Lucky’s adopter should speak with a veterinarian about the safest household arrangement. He should live indoors, receive veterinary wellness care every 6 to 12 months and be seen promptly if he becomes sick or injured. FeLV affects cats only and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.

Lucky is not looking for anyone to feel sorry for him. He is looking for someone ready to embrace a cheerful, affectionate little tabby who has plenty of love, laughter and kitten mischief to bring to a home.

Lucky’s future may carry a little more uncertainty than most, but this sweet boy is focused on enjoying today. Come meet Lucky and discover how fortunate you might be to have this loving little guy by your side.
