The adoptathon kicks off with an epic tattoo-themed cocktail party

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF., September 12, 2016 – The San Francisco SPCA invites you to Whiskers & Whiskey, our annual tattoo cocktail party that has helped hundreds of animals find new, loving homes. Join the fun on Friday, September 23, from 6pm – 9pm at the SF SPCA’s Mission Campus Adoption Center (250 Florida Street). San Francisco’s best tattoo artists will be on hand to decorate you with the finest flash art.

Enjoy whiskey and other cocktails at the top-shelf open bar, and then meet all of the whiskered cuties in the adoption center. If you fall in love you can take home your new best friend for free – all animals will be free to adopt on both Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24.

“By extending the hours we’re open and creating a relaxed environment, we’re able to attract potential adopters who might not otherwise visit the shelter,” said Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, SF SPCA co-president. “Whiskers & Whiskey is a great chance to enjoy a fun night out while helping animals in need.”

In addition to real tattoos provided by Let it Bleed Tattoo, there will be several vegan/vegetarian food trucks and music. You can also get dolled up at the Macy’s beauty bar, take your photo at the selfie-station, and make your own screen printed t-shirt to take home. Glassybaby will also be at the event – their “friendship” votive supports the SF SPCA. And there will be even more surprises!

RSVP required. Tickets are available with a donation at https://whiskeyandwhiskers.eventbrite.com/
