Adoption Process
- Come visit us—No appointment or application required
- Bring your ID and proof of address and be 18 or older
- Meet with our adoption team and some animals
- Same-day adoptions
Cat Adoption Cost
$125 Cats
older than five months
All cats seven years and older have fee-waived adoptions.
$200 Kittens
younger than five months
Fee waived for a second kitten adopted within 30 days.
Dog Adoption Cost
$175 Dogs
$400 Puppies
younger than five months
View our online Puppy Parent Orientation and pass the quiz to receive 50% off puppy adoption fees.
*Written landlord approval or proof of home ownership may be requested. We may ask for all household members to attend the adoption.
At the time of adoption, San Francisco residents pay a $30 San Francisco dog-license fee.
If you’d like to conduct an introduction with your resident dog, please bring your dog to your appointment.
