H.E.A.R.T (Humane Educators Advocating Responsible Thinking)

This free program is for 2nd-5th grade classrooms within title one schools in San Francisco. We would love to partner with teachers to bring animal-based lessons and activities into the classroom to develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills as well as developing your students' sense of compassion. 

HEART Details 

2nd Grade: 

  • Receives 3 classroom visits which align to Common Core standards.

  • Each visit is 40-45 minutes in length.

  • Content includes: pet safety & responsibility and respecting urban wildlife.

  • Each classroom visit will include a lesson and activity.

 

3rd-5th Grade:

  • Receives 4 classroom visits which align to Common Core standards.

  • Each visit is 40-45 minutes in length.

  • Content includes: pet safety & responsibility, overpopulation, urban wildlife, and all about the SFSPCA

  • Each classroom visit will include a lesson and activity.
