Dr. Marica Patchett is originally from Santa Barbara, CA. She received a B. S. degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular Environmental Biology with an emphasis in Insect Biology. She continued her work and studies in agricultural entomology both at UC Berkeley and at the USDA for a number of years. She then changed her focus from insects to more furry critters and attended veterinary school at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Since returning to the Bay Area, she has worked in private practice as well as animal shelters doing spay/neuter surgeries. In her spare time, Dr. Patchett enjoys knitting, puttering in her garden, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
