Dr. Hart Ling Cheung relocated to the Bay Area from Hong Kong after spending several years practicing both in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. She joined the staff of the SF SPCA Mission Campus in 2014. Her pre-veterinary studies began at Iowa State University. She received her DVM degree from the China Agricultural University, Beijing, and a Masters of Equine Science from the University of Edinburgh. She is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, U.K.
Dr. Cheung has a passion for animal welfare. She has contributed her time to both the London Royal SPCA and the Hong Kong SPCA. She also volunteered at a local Hong Kong cat colony care program. Her time spent in private practice has been rewarding for her, but she looks forward to “…utilizing my veterinary knowledge as well as sustainably contributing to the education and advocating of animal rights and welfare.”
