Three Tracks/Three Audiences
Gain insight on how Fear Free® practices can elevate animal interactions at home and in pet care environments. Learn about the importance of your pet’s emotional well-being as well as how to handle common behavior problems, how to provide stimulating pet enrichment, and what to know for newly adopted pets—all from world-renown experts in the veterinary and animal behavior fields. The first 2 sessions focus on felines, and the last 2 on canines. The keynote session at 3:15 pm PT addresses both feline and canine behaviors. Each session includes a live Q&A portion to address any questions you might have.
Attendees of this track will be guided through different Fear Free® Shelter concepts and techniques. From learning to “speak cat” to identifying fear, anxiety, stress, and frustration in pets to communicating with and educating the public, there are beneficial sessions for any individual working in or with an animal shelter or rescue. Presented by experts in shelter medicine, these sessions are realistic, science-based, and motivating to give you everything you need to make your shelter the best it can possibly be—not only for pets, but for staff and volunteers as well. Each session includes a live Q&A portion to address any questions you might have. Completion of these sessions qualifies as up to 8 hours of RACE CE.
Whether you are new to Fear Free® or are a longtime member, you will not want to miss these topics or speakers. There will be two sub-tracks that play simultaneously for a total of 16 sessions. Those registering for the Veterinary Professionals track will get to choose which sessions to attend live and which to watch after the event. Presented by experts in veterinary medicine, this track will take a deep dive into behavior as well as cover a variety of different specialties, all with a Fear Free twist. Each session includes a live Q&A portion to address any questions you might have. Completion of these sessions qualifies as up to 16 hours of RACE CE.
The Fear Free Pet Behavior Symposium is made up of three tracks: pet guardians, shelter personnel, and veterinary professionals. Tickets for each track are sold separately. When you register for a specific track, you will have access to all of the sessions within that track during the live event and on demand for 90 days after. If you would like to have access to every session in each track in the symposium, you need to register for all three tracks.
If you have already registered for 1 track, make sure you “log out” in the top right corner. Once you have done so, you will see a “register now” button on the top. You can then register for a second track.
Registration is available on mobile devices. Although it is highly recommended that you use a laptop or desktop to view the symposium sessions, you will be able to use a mobile device for viewing.
