Cassidy's sibling
Cassidy's sibling

We learned that Cassidy, a puppy infected with giardia, was stolen from the San Francisco SPCA this evening. While under our care Cassidy has been receiving much-needed medicine and treatment, and we at the SF SPCA are deeply concerned about her health. We strongly urge those who took her to return her to the SF SPCA so that she can receive the care she needs. We will not press charges or ask questions; we simply want her returned. We are offering a $500 reward for her safe return.

Cassidy is a three month old, unspayed lab mix and approximately seventeen pounds. She is brindle -- a blend of brown and black spots -- and white. While we don't have a photo of her specifically, we do have a photo of her sibling (above right). While treatable, giardia is an infection of the small intestine that can be passed to humans.

We urge anyone with information about Cassidy to call 415-554-3029.
