The youngest of seven children, Echo Love grew up on a small family farm in New Hampshire. She spent her undergraduate years at Dartmouth College, where she majored in Biochemistry with a minor in Studio Art. After college, she travelled and worked as a veterinary technician in Chicago.
Love graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She moved to San Francisco to be closer to two of her brothers and completed a small animal rotating internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists prior to joining us here.
She feels very fortunate to be a part of the dedicated and compassionate team at the SF SPCA. Her special interests include critical care, surgery, and emergency medicine. She loves being a veterinarian because there is always opportunity to learn and grow. In her free time she enjoys camping, wine tasting, vintage shopping, and (of course!) going to the beach with her hound mix, Poe.
