Dr. Caroline Li joined the SF SPCA Mission Campus veterinary staff in October, 2013. She is a member of our General Practice and Emergency Services Teams. After attending college at Rutgers University in native New Jersey, she worked for the USDA and an environmental consulting firm.
She arrived in the Bay Area in 2006, via a cross-country journey with her cat, Atticus and Cocker Spaniel, Diego. While preparing for her veterinary studies she was a veterinary technician in ER medicine and dermatology here in the Bay Area.
In 2008, Dr. Li attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean where she adopted her "coconut retriever" Daphne. After a year in veterinary rotations at Oklahoma State, she returned to the Bay Area to complete her small animal rotating internship at East Bay Veterinary Specialists in Walnut Creek. Her interests include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and preventive care/wellness medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, you'll find her on the tennis court or enjoying the outdoors with her animal crew.
Dr. Li is ecstatic to be a part of the compassionate staff here at the San Francisco SPCA. She looks forward to meeting you and your animal crew!
