Join our new Freestyle Heelwork class - a fun way to learn about the new, fast-paced sport of dog freestyle and heelwork to music. Freestyle heelwork can help high-energy dogs learn to focus on walks, while teaching fun and tricky new skills. This class is an excellent option for anyone looking for new ways to connect and play with their dog. Freestyle heelwork is the take-anywhere solution for building teamwork and having fun doing it!
In this four-week class we will cover the fundamentals of heelwork - teaching our dogs to move in unision with us while performing a sequence of behaviors and tricks. We will focus on how to teach a dog to want to walk beside us, plus use platforms to teach humans and dogs a fun and easy way to hold precise positions.
Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 4 weeks
Fee: $170 per dog (If your dog was adopted from a 501(c)3 shelter or rescue group, or has taken a class with us in the past year, the fee is $150)
Course prerequisites: Successful completion of a Beginner level training course. Dogs must be over 5 months of age, and able to stay focused on their handlers in the presence of other dogs.
