They give us big love, giant kisses, turn heads, and provide a sense of protection and comfort. Many big dogs are just as adaptable to city life as small dogs and require the same amount of effort as any companion animal. We hope you'll agree, big dogs are amazing!

Animal shelters across the country are seeing unusually high numbers of bigger dogs. The problem is twin fold: We are seeing more homeless animals because spay/neuter surgeries were delayed due to Covid and the demand for adoptions is declining as life returns to normal. With your help, we can turn the tide for big dogs.

Size Doesn’t Matter

Big dogs give BIG LOVE! Many are gentle, patient, and safe while interacting with little dogs and little humans.
Big dogs often have milder personalities (couch potatoes anyone?) and are more content and secure in their behaviors.

Big dogs are not space-intensive. All dogs are time-intensive and the return on the investment is priceless!
Studies show big dogs are easier to train and often have very high intelligence. Also true: big dogs encourage people to focus on training and to stick with it.

Big dogs bark less often than small dogs.
It’s easier to clean big dog teeth and trim big dog nails.
Big dogs are excellent exercise companions and motivators and encourage you to get outside more often!
