Volunteer Orientation Workshops
Whether it's helping with our shelter dogs and cats , adoption counseling, humane education, animal behavior, animal assisted therapy or general office support, The San Francisco SPCA has a volunteer opportunity that's just right for you! Your help in the shelter, out in the neighborhoods, or in your own home can make a world of difference for the animals. For many years now, the cats and dogs of The SF/SPCA have come to depend on the warmth and service of our volunteers.
If you love animals, are over 18 years old and can give us weekly time commitment of 3 hours per week for at least six months, we can promise you good feelings and fun. Look over these Volunteer Programs - then come along to one of our volunteer orientation workshops. Space is limited so sign up today and reserve a spot on the online sign up below.

The Volunteer Orientation includes a tour of The SF/SPCA so you can see first hand some of the work we do and ask any questions you may have. We will also describe current volunteer services needed. We will not be providing food, so you may want to bring a lunch. We are located on the 22, and 33 Street MUNI bus lines. We are 5 blocks from the 16th Street BART Station. Street parking available on Alabama and Florida Streets. We begin promptly at 10 am.
If you have further questions, please call Volunteer Services at 415-522-3543.
Thank you again for your interest in The SF/SPCA. We couldn't provide these lifesaving services and programs without volunteers like you.
