- Cats more than six months of age should have at least one FVRCP vaccination after three months of age, administered within the past year and given at least one week before surgery.
- Dogs less than six months of age should have at least two DHP vaccinations, the last given at four months of age or older and at least one week before surgery.
- Dogs more than six months of age should have at least one DHP vaccination after four months of age, administered within the past year and given at least one week before surgery.
- Animals should be current on rabies vaccines as required by city and county regulations.
- Please bring vaccine records with you at the time of your appointment.
If recommended vaccine schedules have not been performed, your pet is at increased risk of contracting or spreading preventable diseases and you must assume all liability for such consequences.
Your pet can get all of the recommended pre-surgery vaccines at our Hospital, also located in the Leanne B. Roberts Animal Care Center. To schedule an appointment to bring your pet in, please call 415.554.3030.
Please consult with your veterinarian if you have additional questions about the risks and benefits of vaccination.
