Gifts-in-Kind

We are currently in desperate need of towels of all sizes (except for small hand towels) and sheets. Please donate them if you can! You can drop them off here seven days a week (see below).

Got a lot of stuff? You can give needed in-kind items directly to the SF SPCA, help animals with your extra BART tickets, or donate your saleable goods to the Community Thrift Store (directing proceeds to the SF SPCA.)

We accept lightly-used towels, throw rugs, blankets, pet toys, natural chewies, kennels, crates, leashes, and other practical goods.

You can donate dog beds and cat towers by going to http://kuranda.com/donate/1096 and choosing one of the items. It will be sent directly to the shelter.

Sorry, we cannot accept pillows, or items that cannot be laundered. If you're in doubt about whether we need an item, please call us at 415.554.3029. Please note that we do not pick-up donated goods; they must be delivered to the SF SPCA during open business hours.

Tiny [BART] Tickets Program

Are those BART tickets with a few cents on them cluttering up your wallet and your pockets?  Donate them to the San Francisco SPCA!  Through the Tiny Tickets Program developed by the East Bay Community Foundation and BART, tickets with residual value are redeemed and the proceeds given to local nonprofits.  

BART tickets can be dropped off at our hospital (201 Alabama St) or our Adoption Center (250 Florida) during their operational hours.

Community Thrift Program

Have some items taking up space in your home?  For all those items you'd like to have put to good use, but are not appropriate to donate directly to the SF SPCA, we've partnered with Community Thrift SF! 

Donate your used and saleable items to the Community Thrift Store in San Francisco and designate the SF SPCA (#63) as beneficiary.  When the store sells your items, a percentage of the proceeds will come to us.  This is a wonderful opportunity to support the SF SPCA, and do a little house cleaning at the same time!  For details, visit the Community Thrift of San Francisco or contact the store at 415.861.4910. Please note, the SF SPCA can not assist in pick up of items or delivery to Community Thrift.
