Junior Volunteer After-School Program

The Junior Volunteer After-School Program gives young animal lovers an opportunity to make friends while learning about animals and helping the SF SPCA. Junior volunteer programs, by design, are fun and encourage youth to consider the needs and feelings of others; the effects of their own actions; and their place in the world relative to other living beings.

Details

  • Each monthly program includes one after-school session per week for three weeks.
  • Programs run from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
  • Every session includes an educational lesson, a fun game or activity, and an animal interaction. A snack is also provided.
  • The curriculum changes each month, and students are encouraged to participate on an on-going basis.
  • This program is available for grades 1-4 and 5-8.
  • The program fee is $80 per participant.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate youth with severe allergies to cats and dogs as they are involved in many of our activities.
