Introduction to Agility

This fun and fast growing dog sport invites a handler to teach their dog to negotiate an obstacle course of tunnels, a variety of jumps, climbing and more! Introduction to Agility Class is for anyone who wants to try a fun hobby with their dog. This class strengthens the bond between dog and handler, and provides fun and exercise for both. Dogs and humans love Agility!

This course introduces dogs to agility obstacles in such a way that they can accomplish them (at their own level), and then builds on that success with gradually increasing challenges.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks (dogs attend all 6 classes)

Class includes: Handbook and Certificate of Completion

Fees: $200 ($180 for previous SF SPCA students)

Class capacity: 8

Location: 243 Alabama Street, Multipurpose Training Room

Course prerequisites: Successful completion of an Intermediate-level training course. Dogs must be well socialized to dogs and people, under good off-leash control, and be at least one year of age.
