Fido Home Alone

This class is suitable for newly adopted dogs for preventative training as well as for dogs that display boredom behaviors or exhibit stress when their owners leave the room or walk out the door.
 
The class will help owners train Fido that being home alone is a good thing by increasing mental stimulation and providing a healthy alone time routine.

Please note that attendance is required at the mandatory Fido Home Alone Orientation (first session) to participate in the class. No dogs at the orientation, please.
 
Frequency & Duration:  1 hour per week for 6 weeks (first class is orientation)
 
Class Includes:  Adaptil collar (CEVA), “Through a Dog’s Ear” CD,  clicker, and Kong

Fees: $195 for a 6-week series ($175 for dogs who have taken a previous SF SPCA class in the past 6 months)

Instructor: Stacey

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be 3 months of age or older, able to be handled gently by a friendly stranger, and able to work safely around people and other dogs on leash. Your dog should be able to sit on command and walk with a Gentle Leader, easy walk harness or flat collar. Please bring a mat and high-value treats (toys or snacks).
