Kitty Questions?

Visit our Resource Library to find helpful information to answer many of your cat behavior questions.

For our cat adopters, we offer basic advice via our Cat Behavior Email Hotline. If you adopted a cat from us and need help with cat-to-cat aggression, litter box usage, rough play or socialization, please email: catbehavior@sfspca.org.

Claw Clipping Clinics

We offer a Cat Claw Clipping Clinic for guardians who need regular assistance keeping kitty’s claws clipped. (Try saying that three times fast!) Clinics are held on the first and third Sundays of each month from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Note: The Cat Claw Clipping Clinic will not be open on Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday). Please join us on Sunday, May 4 at our usual time.

Clinics are conducted at the SF SPCA Spay Neuter Clinic located in the Leanne B. Roberts Animal Care Center, 201 Alabama St. Free parking available.

No appointment is necessary. Cats must be confined in carriers. If your cat is reasonably comfortable with claw clipping, please bring your cat from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. If your cat tends to be anxious when claws are being clipped, please bring your cat at 10:45 a.m. Please note: we cannot accommodate cats that swat, scratch or bite when having their claws clipped.

The cost is $20.00 (flat rate – all claws!)
