Expanded Adoption Hours
The SF SPCA is opening its adoption center on Mondays and expanding services to ensure that animals are adopted into loving homes as quickly as possible.
Starting August 5:
- The SF SPCA Adoption Center, located at 250 Florida Street, is open on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This means the adoption center is now open 7 days a week. See adoption center hours of operation.
- The SF SPCA continues to accept surrenders of owned cats and dogs by San Francisco residents 7 days a week by appointment. We have increased the number of appointments available on Sundays and Mondays to compensate for the closure of Animal Care and Control. See information about scheduling an appointment.
- Feral and free-roaming cats from San Francisco can be brought to 201 Alabama Street 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please come to the desk at the Spay/Neuter Clinic on the 2nd floor. Cats will be scanned for a microchip. If they are determined to be unowned and/or feral (i.e. wild and unable to acclimate to living in a home), they will be spayed or neutered at no cost, vaccinated, and returned to their colony.
- The SF SPCA continues to accept surrenders of puppies and kittens 7 days a week without an appointment. See more information.
