CLAW is the acronym for CRITTER LOVERS AT WORK.

CLAW is an all volunteer support group of the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (The SF/SPCA). Its mission is to generate support for and raise public awareness of The SF/SPCA.

CLAW plans and produces special events. It was founded in 1987 with the first Holiday Windows at Gump's. Currently, CLAW produces two annual events: The Bark & Whine Ball and the Hats Off Fashion Show and Luncheon. Proceeds from both benefit The SF/SPCA Cinderella Fund which provides medical care for the shelter's neediest homeless dogs and cats.
