Puppy Adoption Process

Interested in adopting a puppy? All SF SPCA puppy adopters can attend our FREE 1-hour Puppy Parent Orientation class. Puppy Parent Orientations are held several times a month. Potential Puppy Parents that attend the Orientation can get a 50% discount on the puppy adoption fee.

Adoptions will occur on a first come, first served basis beginning at time of the Adoption Center’s opening (no early arrivals, please). For same day adoptions, please make sure that you are signed up at the front desk at least an hour before closing to ensure enough time to process the adoption.

Our Puppy Parent Orientation classes are designed to educate potential adopters about puppies and set them up for success. Attend a FREE class in advance of your adoption and receive the following benefit:
