Help the San Francisco SPCA and KittyFlix.com find new homes for homeless cats

The SF SPCA's Homecoming Adoptathon weekend includes free food, free drinks, and free adoptions!

San Francisco, CA, Sep 5 2012: The San Francisco SPCA will be hosting the Homecoming 2012 Adoptathon, September 14th - 16th. Adoption fees will be waived all weekend, for all animals. Planned activities include a cocktail party, food truck, an animal behavior workshop, bake sale, and much more. KittyFlix.com is donating 100% of its advertising space in the SF Bay Area for the full week leading up to the event.

Bay Area tech startup Boomify, the company behind the most popular cat video website on the Internet, KittyFlix.com, has decided that it’s time to give back to the homeless cat community.

"Our goal is to find homes for at least 150 animals during the Adoptathon," said Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, SF SPCA co-president. "We're thrilled to be partnering with KittyFlix.com for this event, and we're very thankful for the support they've given us to help make this event a success. Come enjoy delicious food and refreshments, and meet your new best friend!"

The kickoff event will begin at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon at the SF SPCA Adoption Center (250 Florida Street). There will be music, free drinks, and free snacks from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. San Francisco’s own Voodoo Van will be onsite from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. serving up its famous sandwiches and fried treats.

On Sunday, September 16th, Dr. Jeannine Berger, DVM, DACVB, will host an animal behavior Q&A session from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dr. Berger is the only veterinarian in America who has completed a veterinary specialty training program in animal behavior.

All events are free and will take place at the SF SPCA Adoption Center, and there is no need to RSVP. The Adoption Center will be open Friday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
