The San Francisco SPCA has removed the December/January (2006/2007) Viewpoint from its website at the request of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).  This action is in accord with the new protocols of the Negotiated Rulemaking Committee on Dog Management in the GGNRA, of which The SF/SPCA is a member.  The SF/SPCA continues to work within the guidelines of the negotiated rulemaking process on the understanding, from senior representatives of the GGNRA, that off-leash recreation for dogs on GGNRA lands is a realistic objective and has not been preemptively disallowed.  When the Negotiated Rulemaking Committee has completed its work the Viewpoint in question will be reposted in The SF/SPCA online archives.
